There is a fabulous lookout only a few minutes walk from Ponta Delgada where many birds gather (I will publish a separate post about the birds on the island).

You just need to climb a few steps…

…and you’ll be treated to a magnificent view of this part of the island.

We were not the only ones to take advantage of the sun’s warmth…

It’s such a pleasure to walk around. The streets are so picturesque that they almost seem staged!

And there was another “floating town” in Ponta Delgada.

I especially liked its lips!

While the members of the crew took care of the ship, the tourists hurried to visit the town and its surroundings.

I was amused by the reflexion of Ponta Delgada in a huge window of the cruise ship.

The day was slowly drawing in….
