Bye bye Horta and Faial
It’s time to move on…. so bye bye Horta. I’ll miss you! But if I ever had to put down roots someplace, I would definitely want to come and live here.

Enjoyed your photos of Horta, a beautiful place. I was there on a sailboat many years ago. We tied up to the old jetty and I added our name to the collection. My favorite memory was of an unnamed restaurant down an alley. The harried owner/chef hustled around, encouraging his waiter to take orders and deliver food. The waiter was not keen to say the least. Standard procedure was, on entering, to grab a bottle of wine and glasses, open it ourselves. Golden days! Graham

Thanks Graham! Horta is, indeed, a fantastic place. Was that Peter Sport café? Cheers, Nataly

No, not Peter Sport café, though that was going strong then. I doubt the other place is still a going concern. Graham
