Nazaré in Portugal
Nazaré is one of the most popular seaside resorts in Portugal and you shouldn’t confuse it with Nazareth in Israel. The town consists of three neighbourhoods: Praia (along the beach), Sítio (an old village, on top of a cliff) and Pederneria (another old village on a hilltop).
It is known for its beautiful sandy beach…
… and the biggest waves in the world. But I’ll get to that in one of my future posts. And let me tell you in advance – that’s really interesting!
This town will be our new home until May when we’ll move to Germany (again for a month!). So, don’t worry, I’ll tell you all about it. I love exploring and that’s what I’ll be doing over the next few weeks.
Nazaré is a great town to relax, have a coffee by the beach, follow the waves on their journey to the shore and simply empty your mind and THINK!
You can take the Nazaré Funicular (if you don’t feel like walking) and go up to Sítio where you can observe the world below.
And I totally agree with the person who left this message in the sand, it’s the good life!
Great photos of Nazaré!
