If you stroll along the seafront in Nazaré, you will meet some old women selling dried fish.

You can also see the fish drying in the sun…

Many of these women are widows.Traditionally, if your husband dies, you wear black for the rest of your life. I will talk about their traditional clothes in one of my future posts.

This is what I like about Nazaré – traditions continue to thrive here…
