Greetings from Kuressaare in Estonia
OK, I think you’ll need to check the map again. This time I’m taking you to Estonia, more precisely to Kuressaare on the island of Saaremaa. Sounds exotic, doesn’t it?
Kuressaare is a picturesque town of about 13,000 inhabitants. It is situated on the coast of the Gulf of Riga and you can actually get here by bus from the mainland Estonia.
So, why Kuressaare? For many reasons: we like birds and the island of Saaremaa is known for bird-watching, we read that it’s beautiful and simply because we wanted to discover this part of the world.
Well, let me show you around. Kuressaare is known for its castle but I’ll write about it in another post.
Typical streets and houses…
There is a local beach which is really close to the castle.
And many gorgeous paths where you can go for a walk…
You can also play golf…
I feel so relaxed here…
Beautiful – I’ve heard of Estonia. A woman I once met raved about it.
