Malbork Castle – the biggest castle in the world
Yep, it may surprise you, but Poland houses the biggest castle in the world. The structure which covers an area of 21 hectares was built by the Teutonic Knights in 1406. The castle even served as one of several residences of the Polish kings until 1770s…
Beautiful place. The Poles have restored many historic buildings since the War. I surmise as a way of healing from that awful time. They and the world benefit.

Absolutely! If you look at the photos of Gdansk after the WW2 and the Malbork Castle, it’s really quite extraordinary. 90% of Gdansk was destroyed during the war. I really admire the Poles how they managed to restore their towns.

You captured it well. I visited in 2013. It’s worth the trek to see it.
