The Village of Tjørnuvík
The weather has been exceptionally good for this time of the year. It’s hard to believe that we’re in the Faroe Islands!
Yesterday we visited Tjørnuvík, which is one of the oldest villages on the archipelago.
It was so sunny and warm that we even dipped our toes in the ocean.
It’s a small village with some very cute houses.
An interesting vase…
With 300 rainy days per year, it’s rare that people dry their clothes outside over here.
This is where we had our coffee and a waffle.
We also went up the hills for a better view of the village.
As you can see, we were not alone…
On the way back, we passed by Fossá which is the tallest waterfall in the Faroe Islands.
