Torshavn – one of the smallest capitals in the world
Torshavn is the capital of the Faroe Islands. It has a population of about 13,000 people, which makes it one of the smallest capitals in the world. It’s true that Torshavn is not a major tourist destination, but it’s far from being boring. There is some interesting architecture (not just in the city centre!) and there are some trendy restaurants and cafés (btw, they have the best cakes in the world!!!). Besides, the town is surrounded by the most extraordinary nature, and…. you can travel around by helicopter (check my previous posts!)
We spent an unforgettable month in Torshavn. And we would jump at any opportunity to go back one day…
Colorful houses – I love the green roofs!

Hi Eliza. You see such roofs everywhere in the Faroe Islands. They really add to the charm…
